Take Shape for Life saved our lives

Look at us now Pauline lost 50 lbs and I lost 40 lbs. Two years ago sounds like a long time ago. Pauline and I wanted to lose weight. We went to Medifast Center here in San Diego. We lost most of our weight in the first few month and have kept it off for two years. Our daughter Monica wanted to lose weight also. One problem there are no Medifast Centers in Idaho. We talked to a friend of our Mark Cuthbert who lost 80 lbs with Take Shape for Life which is a division of Medifast. He asked us to be health coaches with Take Shape for Life which has no boundaries so we could serve client any where in the United States even in Idaho. So Monica became our first client in May of 2011 8 months later
Monica has lost close to 40 lbs and has kept it off. She looks like a different person. So from May til now we are coaching over 40 people who are losing weight fast and healthy with the 5 in 1 plan. Hi everyone Pauline and I have been busy since John and Ann's Wedding .Everyone was home for Chrismas had fun with the whole family. Ammon and Becky had a new baby girl Chloe all most 5 month old. They also bought a new home in San Marcos and Ammon is working for Qualcomm. Monica is at BYU Idaho working on becoming a nurse. Kari and Nathan have moved to Everet Washington and are having a baby girl the middle of April. John and Anna are going to college and working. I went to Las Vegas to watch the Mountain West Conference Tournment. BYU was fantistic. Just watching Jimmer play was worth the trip. How could I lose I hope San Diego State and BYU will play for the national championship. Not sure it will happen, but maybe? Pauline is making plans to visit Kari when the baby is born I hope I get to go.

Countdown for the Wedding

Its almost time for the big wedding for John and Anna. Just talked to them and they are on there way here to San Diego for their marrage to each other on Saturday at the San Diego Temple. The open House is at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints building in Poway Ca. at 14211 Twin Peaks Road. The time of the Open House is 2:00pm till 5:00pm just enought time to make Stake Conference. Hope to see your there.

There has been a time adjustment on the open house for John and Anna. Due to Stake Conference on Saturday night we have moved the open house to earlier in the day. Well the news is out John & Anna are getting married Saturday Sept. 11, 2010 at the San Diego Temple. There will be an open house later that night. On Saturday Sept. 18 in Salt Lake City there will be a reception for the new couple. We would like to congratulate John and Anna on this new step in there lives and grateful to be apart of it.

Can you really loose weight? Yes! With Medifast

Mike and I have lost 30 lbs! How? We are doing the jumpstart program of medifast. We decided to start on this diet plan on January 19th, 2010. I was a size 18 plus and Mike a 38 waist. We talked with our Dr. and he said, his wife did it and lost a lot of weight. He said like any diet it is what you do after you have lost the weight. (Medifast has a maintance program to help you keep the weight off for 1 yr.) We went to the Medifast Center here in San Diego, (Carmel Mt.) and listened to the introduction. Mike wanted to start right then. Well if you decide to start make sure you did not just go shopping! We ended up giving away several things that we knew we would not be eating before they went bad. Now we also did not want to tell anyone when we started as you get well meaning people who, say things like, isn't it expensive?(we figured we spend about $10-$15.00 a day for each of us for all our food for the day.) Or I couldn't do it, or are you allowed to eat that? so we decided that we wouldn't tell people and if we lost weight then maybe they would just notice and then we would tell them. Well in the last couple weeks we have had friends ask us what we are doing as we look great. Mike's blood pressure was high and he was on medication. Since a couple weeks ago the Dr. changed his medication to a lower one. Also My foot which I was having problems with has been so much better. I can't believe that I wake up in the morning with out all the aches and pains that I had. I thought,I was just getting old.what a difference 25-30 lbs makes. We used to come home everyday after work and have to take a nap. we have so much more energy! I am going to put our before and now Pictures up here soon. Tune in later for those. So if anyone wonders if it works? YES! it has for us. So if you want to loose weight and live around here, go in to center off Carmel Mt. right next to the Ralph's store. Kim, the Manager is great at explaining the program. Our counselors, Betsy and Nicole are helpful and knowledgeble. They are always there to cheer us on and to offer help and suport! When you go tell them you were referred by Mike and Pauline and you will get a discount and we do too! Oh, by the way the Brownies are Great!

Baby Britton arrived at 9:28 pm Tuesday August 18,2009 weighing in at 9 lbs with a length of 21 1/2 inches long. His brother and sister got to hold him and were so excited. Congratulations to Nathan and Kari. Congratulations to those great grandparents Mike and Pauline for making this all possible. Love you Kari.

Kari is having another baby BOY sometime this month. So we have already purchased our plane tickets. That's right we are flying Jet Blue to Utah. We will be celebrating Jacob's, Kari's and the new baby's birthday when we get there. One problem I only get 2 1/2 days with my grand kids so I am going to make the best of it. Jacob will be 4 years old and Kari will be ?/@! years old and the new baby will be ? days old. So I can't wait. That all for now.

A day at the beach with Hailey and Family

Pauline was at a Rancho Bernardo Craft Show last week. Here are a few of things she has done since buying an embroidery machine at this years Del Mar Fair. These are a few of her "designer" Burp Cloths and Receiving Blankets. They have been a hit! Sometimes I walk down the hall and say, "Has anyone seen my wife?" She took over one of the rooms for a sewing room and spends alot of time in there. Which gives me time to watch football!

Well here is the long awaited Plums on my Plum tree. They taste terriffic. Pauline and I have had a few because that is all that we had on the tree. This is one of the last ones. I wish I had more because they taste so great. Well I wanted you to see what a tree ripe fruit looks like. Maybe we will have more next year along with more nectarines. I can't believe this, my sister Cheryl comes over to see my backyard and fines the only nectarine our tree has ever had. It had to be there for awhile and no one saw it. It is gone now and it tasted GREAT!! Pauline had half and I had half and boy it was tastey. Next up is our Plum tree. You might think why is Mike making a big deal about the fruit. It is because this is the first time we have had fruit. The plums are starting to turn red. The lemon tree is next in line. I will keep you posted. Can't wait.

Monica's New Toy

Well here is the answer to everyone question. How do I save on gas. This is Monica's answer. Monica has been looking at scooters for a long time. She finally found the one she likes. It took a week to get here. Dad had to put it together and learn to become a mechanic again. All the lights work and it runs. Ammon had to tell me how it started though. Now that I look at it, it does looks like a bumble bee. What do you think?

New CPA Ammon Martell Sullivan

Well Ammon passed his CPA exam. Now he is a Certified Public Accountant. Pauline and I are very proud of him as with the rest of our family. All his hard work has paid off. Not to mention the patience from his lovely wife Becky. Now with the baby due in November, they will have another deduction on their taxes. Just what every CPA loves to see more deductions.

One of the condition for Jacob to visit Grand Ma & Pa was he wanted to go to Chucky Cheese. Here he is with one of his new pals Barney. Wait isn't that Jacob's last name? No wonder they are good friends. Well I sure had fun with Jacob when he was here we got to play alot. I do miss him. Pauline misses him more that is why she is in Utah this weekend. Monica Graduating from Long Beach State on May 29, 2007. Monica pictured her with her mother Pauline. Those who were at the graduation were Monica's sister Kari, her 5 month old niece Stephanie, her 33 month old nephew Jacob, and her Mom and Dad. It was a nice to see Monica graduate again. We saw her get her Associated Degree from BYU Idaho a few years ago. How time flies.

Weekend in Arizona with my Dad

Had a great weekend with my Dad, Jack. Watched a couple of movies, had a great BBQ pork ribs with beans and potato salad and corn on the cob. Boy was it good. We arrived late on Friday and left early on Sunday. On the way home we stop to get gas on Hwy 95 which take you to Lake Havasu and to the London Bridge. So you guessed it we stopped and took some pictures. Take a look. There were a lot of people there because of the Memorial weekend. This lake is very very big. So now we can say we have been to Lake Havasu.

Ammon & Becky are having a baby GIRL

Just off the press Ammon and Becky call yesterday and confirmed what our grandson Jacob already knew is that they are having a baby GIRL. Two weeks ago Jacob told Ammon and myself that Ammon and Becky were going to have a baby girl. How did he know? Hum. Well I know Becky is excited.

Well Monica is finally Graduating on May 29, 2008 from California State University Long Beach She is studing up a storm. We get an occasion phone call. Last weekend she came home to give me a haircut or maybe it was Mother's Day not sure. It might have been Mother's Day? Anyway here is her Graduating Picture. She is graduating with a BA in Journalism and a Minor in Comparable Literature. We are so proud of her accomplishments!

Welcome baby Stephanie doesn't she look so cute. Jacob looks like he is having fun with his new sister. Pauline is leaving on Tuesday to stay a week with Kari and help around the house. Nathan's work let him have Monday and Tuesday off to take care of his wife and new family. Having grand children is great we have had so much fun with Jacob during Christmas. We did not want to leave. Can't wait for our next visit when ever that may be. Hopefully soon.
